Of course, you come to southern Spain for the good weather and you hope for continuous sunshine. This is the case on average three hundred days a year and in July and August you can be sure that there will be no rain, but if it does rain during your holiday… what to do so that that rainy day still feels like a holiday?
Malaga city
Pub crawl in Spanish style, with a drink and a tapa everywhere. When it is not raining too hard you can walk through the city with enough choice to regularly stop at a number of cozy bars and cozy restaurants.
When it is dry, it is nice to visit the Alcazaba , the Moorish fortress from the ninth century with a fantastic view over the historic center of Malaga.
If the weather really isn't cooperating, one of the following museums is definitely not a waste of time:
The Picasso museum, one of the most famous Spanish artists in history. Besides painter, there is much more to discover about this Spanish legend. museopicassomalaga.org
The museum of imagination , a relatively small but very interactive museum where you will not get bored quickly. With the many optical illusions this is definitely worth it. Sam and I really enjoyed it and entertained ourselves for two hours. http://www.museoimaginacion.com/
Escape room of which there are many in Malaga. We have only done one, and with great pleasure. The website of this is: https://www.escapark.es/
But if you search on Google you will find many.
Marbella
La Cañada Shopping Centre , is a shopping mall on the outskirts of Marbella where you can easily spend a day. All the major stores are here including: Desigual, Zara, Hennes & Mauritz and various sports shops. You will find several restaurants and a cinema where they also show films in English, and to finish off an ice cream at the best ice cream shop in the area; El Morino!
Cooking class
There are various cooking courses to follow. For example, in Monda there is an Indian woman where I myself followed a course. She ensures that you can prepare delicious dishes in three hours. You can find her on Facebook at: https://m.facebook.com/groups/284520846883461
There are several options for Spanish cooking available on the internet:

Have you always wanted to learn how to dance Flamenco? There is no better place than Andalusia! On this website you will find several dance teachers where you can take a lesson: https://www.superprof.es/clases/flamenco/malaga/
The impressive caves of Nerja , east of Malaga with a number of rock paintings from prehistoric times. Not only good to do when it rains but also when the heat gets too much for you, in summer it is wonderfully cool. https://www.cuevadenerja.es/
The same goes for the caves of Ardales, also called Cueva de Doña Trinidad. You have to make an appointment to visit, only 1000 people are allowed per year. You walk one and a half kilometers underground in which you walk through different rooms with lakes, stalagmites and stalagmites. What makes the cave unique are the many prehistoric cave paintings, some of which are 20,000 years old! https://www.malaga.es/en/turismo/naturaleza/lis_cd-1696/cuevas-de-ardales-o-de-dona-trinidad
Apart from the fact that rain is often more than welcome in dry Andalusia, there is no reason to be bored during a day of rain.
